As you will see, Treetops School dates back almost 100 years and has evolved and developed almost beyond recognition. Having said that, our ethos and aims have remained the same.

We aim to take the dis out of disability and focus on what our children and young people can achieve.

I am proud to have been associated with the school for the last 33 years, first as a senior teacher, then as Headteacher and now as CEO of the Trust.

When I was Headteacher, I used to start every year with a word game assembly with the letters  D U R O P.

I would get the pupils to volunteer what word they thought the letters could spell. Eventually we would get to the word PROUD. I would then get rid of the P and the R so I am left with what makes me proud - U DO!

They always did and still do continue to inspire me and make me proud.
